چکیده

Background: In this study, we compared ophthalmic artery Doppler indices between normotensive and hypertensive pregnant women in third trimester then evaluated if the alterations doppler were seen all types of hypertensions pregnancy or confined to preclaampsia. Further tried see correlation with perinatal outcomes terms fetal growth restriction (FGR), prematurity, neonatal intensive care unit admission (NICU) maternal arrive at mean values predict adverse outcomes. Methods: 50 recruited trimester. A thorough history about hypertension was taken, obstetric scan done know estimated weight, umbilical, middle cerebral artery, uterine arteries done. Simultaneously readings followed up after delivery recorded. Results: Comparison parameters without showed statistically significant differences respect peak systolic velocity 2 (PSV2), PI (pulsatility index), RI (resistivity index) ratio (PR) (PR=PSV2/PSV1). Significant difference found only PR value preeclampsia group other subgroups hypertension. complicated FGR ratio=0.8 whereas requiring preterm ratio=0.78, NICU ratio=0.81. At cut off ≤0.725, sensitivity specificity 76% 65% respectively FGR. Conclusions: Pregnancy by indices. Among hypertension, best index for discriminating preclampsia from it significantly higher who had Ophthalmic has almost similar performance as indicating our study. It could also indicate disease severity such crisis ICU admission, study number small.
